Miamani Fortura
Identity & Editorial Design

An artist whose work reimagines spatial experiences into minimalist explorations.
Miamani Fortura is an artist exploring the paradox of space, perception, and representation of spatial forms. She transforms architectural structures, reducing their dimensionality while preserving a sense of depth, inviting viewers to engage with the interplay between tangible and abstract forms. In her work, familiar spaces are transformed into minimalist fields of light, shadow, and texture, prompting a reconsideration of spatial experience — both real and imagined.

Working closely with the artist during the planning stages of her exhibition, I developed the visual identity that extended across print and digital materials.
The project included a book, cards, tote bag, and a website, designed to complement the artist’s vision without overshadowing her work. The identity followed a minimalist and structured approach, defined by its colour palette, typography, and layout. ASCII Art typography and illustrations were also created using the chosen typeface, subtly reflecting the artist’s creative vision, and seamlessly integrated into select items while maintaining a cohesive and refined aesthetic.
