Updating an East London restaurant and bar printed materials, ensuring cohesive alignment with their already established visual identity.

The original branding, while distinctive, required consistency in its typographic treatments. To address this, I developed a structured typographic system — refining layouts while preserving the brand’s core aesthetics and identity — creating reusable templates that ensured clarity while allowing flexibility for future updates.

Illustrated elements were also introduced to strengthen Clutch’s events materials and to enhance audience engagement.

Another key part of working with Clutch involved designing posters to promote special events and collaborations with musicians and artists. To create those I adopted an illustrative approach, aiming to add a layer of artistic nuance by visually interpreting the spirit and themes of the events.

Three posters designed for Clutch’s special events. One features a detailed sketch of a microphone, another a vibrant multi-coloured lion illustration, and the third a splattered paint design with a vinyl record.

For seasonal occasions, illustrated Clutch’s chicken mascots were also created as themed adaptations. Those added playfulness and humour to printed posters and social media imagery, promoting the restaurant and bar offerings.
